About GEF
Launched in March 2010, the Gulf Environment Forum (GEF) is organised by the Presidency of Meteorology & Environment and held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Bin Abdualziz
The first event of its kind to be held in the Kingdom, GEF 2010 was officially opened by HRH Prince Turki Bin Nasser Bin Abdulaziz, President of the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment and attracted royal and ministerial attendees, as well as exhibitors representing 23 countries from around the world.

What is the Presidency of Meteorology & Environment?
The presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) was created in 2001, coinciding with the appointment of H.R.H Prince Turki Bin Nasser Bin Abdulaziz as President. PME’s primary role is to spread environmental awareness among all members of Saudi society and provide protection for the present and future generations. Any company looking to do business in the Saudi environmental market must obtain a license from PME.
